Need Help with Audio

kool3d

Question

Hello,

I've tried the VideoWave 9 help menu, and looked around the EMC9 forum pages for information but didn't see anything to fix my audio problem.

I am using a number of still images ending with a video clip that has its own native audio. VideoWave help says that the native audio can't be removed, but I would like to use some other music that will play during the whole DVD.

Hope someone can tell me what I should do to make it all work.

Thanks

Although it can't be removed, it can be muted. Click on the show hide tracks and select native, select it and then mute it. I don't have EMC 9 on my machine but there should be a speaker icon that will allow you to mute the native audio. If you can't find the speaker, double click on the native track and an audio editor will open.

BTW, are you adding music by alternating the music on two or more audio tracks (music, sfx, narration)? That will allow you to fade in and out seamlessly to another audio file.

I have been trying to find information about fading audio tracks into one another, but have found very little info. Could you tell me where I might find some.

I have a 45 minute video that will become a DVD with menu and several chapters.

These were mostly still images made into slideshow movies then all the movies put together to make one movie. I have short blank areas where the video will dived into chapters. At the end of two of the chapters will be a short video, one will use native audio, the other video audio is muted.

I would like to use another audio track for the rest of the video (all chapters) but fade out when it reaches the native audio, which already fades in at it's beginning. Then audio continue for the rest of the video (DVD).

Thanks,

Double click on the audio in timeline. You will get an audio editor where you can fade in and out. Using more than one track will give a seamless transition from one to the other if you overlap the points where they meet the top of the volume line. Watch this.

Note the video is silent.
