Roxio Creator 2009 Media Import "Not Responding"

I just installed my RC2009 and downloaded the SP4 patch. I am using the video capture usb with my Sony Video Camera Model CCD-TRV312. After picking the usb from the drop down window the capture button will not highlight until I push play on the camera. After the tape is playing I click on the capture button and the software immediatly goes into "Media Import Not Responding" and the window is locked up. To close the Media Import window I have to restart the computer.

 

I have Windows XP and using Internet Explorer 8.

That is an analog camcorder. Which USB capture device do you have? Did you install the correct drivers for it? Is it plugged into a USB port in the back of your computer? Front USB ports and hubs usually do not have enough power to work properly.

 

Tell us more about your computer. Does Windows see the device? What is listed for it?
