Question

got roxio 2010 couple weeks ago, loving it, but after I finish burning dvds using "COPY DISC" the temp files are not deleting themselves. and I went from 135GB to less than 60 in one setting. i also dont have a clue where the temp files have located themselves and how :unsure: they are labeled in order to find and delete. someone suggested CCleaner. downloaded that and sped up my computer but did not remove temp burned files. I didnt know this was eating up my harddrive and I plan on burning many more dvd. please help me THanks Robbie

I open Roxio creator 2010 from my desktop. it opens to the main home page burn data, copy disc, make backup etc. I click on copy disc and I get a screen with a drop down menu labeled copy from(TSSTCorpDVDRW DL (E:) and copy to(TSSTCorpDVDRW DL (E:). I place the disk to be burned in my DVD drive and click arrow to close drive then click on the green arrow button. the disk burns I than place a blank DVD in the drive and click on arrow to close drive again and then when disc is copied and verified it pops out of dvd drive and I click on the finish button. then go to the next disc. ??what program opening up when open copy disk. and the burn folder and roxio project folders are empty> Help

I am in a hobby where we burn and trade DVDs of old football games which take up 2 dvds with up to 4-6 GB per game. I could burn 8-10 in an evening that is what I was referring to using 75 gigs in one session. hope this helps cuz downloaded the JDISK Report to see what files and where they are and I am clueless. help me anything there has to be a solution

Search for files with the extensions .gi in a folder *\AppData\Local\Temp

The temp files created seem to be of the form PXW*.tmp*.gi where * can be any other characters

CCleaner should find those files and remove them but if you'd like to search for what's taking up space on your system and free tool is jdiskreport

There are other free tools that do this but you can manually do a search in any OS if you want. This program just does a better job of organization. Really does more than you need it to.

What kind of DVDs are you copying that they would gobble up 75GB in one sessions

Could you explain exactly what steps you are doing so that I can try and duplicate what you are doing and figure out where your are losing the disk space.. Be specific when referring to a program, "copy disc" does not really mean very much. What program opens when you select "copy disc"?

Start JDisk and select 'Scan a file tree'. Then expand 'Computer' to show all the drives and select the drive you want to scan. When it completes, you should see a graph. At the top, click on 'Top 50'. It will give you a list of the 50 largest files on that drive as well as the location. You can then right click any file and choose 'Explorer' which will take you to the file so you can manually delete it.
