Creator 2009 SE doesn't accept SP4

You do not even have Creator 2009 and that is why it doesn't work…

 

You have EMC 9 which is 2 versions before Creator 2009 was ever introduced…

 

Help-About in 2009 looks like this:

 

There was only one update to 9.0 and all that did was add Vista Certification. Since you have XP it would do nothing for you...

I have Creator 2009 Special Edition (sold as 'media caputre') and while I can download the SP4 update, each time I attempt to install it (after extraction) it's a 'corrupted file'. Add to that the basic 2009 Roxiowon't launch at all. This is a newly formatted XP box with plenty of everything.

 

Any suggestions?

First, you are hijacking a thread by someone who has a different Version altogether - EMC 9. If the naming had not changed what you have would be called EMC 11.

 

Second, a 'Special Edition' might or might not already have the update, or not be something the update works with.

 

I'd suggest you click on 'Roxio Community' in the upper left, go down to the Forums for Creator 2009, and post on whichever board seems most appropriate (probably Installation/Uninstallation/Update).
