Capture Button Greyed Out

After installing the programme and the update on line I am trying to copy VHS Disks to DVD-ROM. I can see the picture (albeit not very good colour - but clear) and hear the sound fine but the "Capture" button is greyed out and cannot be selected. I am using Windows 7 on a SONY Vaio laptop. I have tried doing an update as suggested in some of the threads here from your site and the computer says (Windows Standalone Installer) that this update is not suitable for this computer (or such words). Looking further there was another Windows 7 patch (1 I think) and it said when I tried to run that that it was already installed.

 

So close and yet still so far. And reading the posts maybe further than I had hoped.

 

Any ideas?

Are you trying to use Plug and Burn?

 

If so try Media Import, choose the Roxio capture device from the drop down and select your connection under options..

 

cd
