Creator 2009 Ultimate mp3 burning problem with disc project

SPQR

Question

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit. I installed Roxio Ultimate 9 when i got the PC. I started using create music disc projects to burn long MP3 cd's so I could keep the tracks in the order I wanted. It worked fine.

Then I got a ton of malware that screwed up my DLL files and in the end the only viable solution was to slick the PC, reinstall Vista and all my software. Here's where the problem started:

My Roxio works fine except when using the create music disc project. The first change I noticed is when you hit burn and it says building disc project. This used to go verrrrry slow. Now it does this much faster. And as soon as its done, it spits out the disk and says, "please put in disk." It then spits the disk out.

I have gone through 5 disks and one thing I do know, its not the disks (CD-R). They are all new and are the same ones I used to use before to do these MP3 projects with no problem at all.

I have seen some strange things happen over the years with computers and software and this one ranks up there pretty high.

Has anyone had this problem or can anyone hazard a guess at whats going on? Very frustrated.

Thanks for any help.

Did you install the program with your anti-virus or anti-malware software running? That sometimes does not allow everything to be put into the registry properly. Turn off those programs and use Windows Add/Remove programs to run the repair on Creator 2009 Ultimate. Don't shorten the name to "9" to prevent confusion with Easy Media Creator 9 which is an older version.

Sknis,

I did. I have proceeded to do as you asked. I turned off all my malware and anti virus. I uninstalled Roxio and then installed it again with none of my protection on. I tried the disk project MP3 option and this time it said "building disk" even faster than I have ever seen it, lol. Needless to say, after it did that, it spit my disk out and said "insert blank disc." Ugh!!!

Thanks for the suggestion. It was very nice of you to take the time to respond to my question and try help me.

By the way, you were one of those who taught me how to use this back in the day when I could work it. Check out my old posts where you and some others got me up to speed! So weird how it worked back then but not now after I redid my PC. I hate computers sometimes, lol.
