Question

I have Creator 2010. It seems to start and recognize my Roxio video capture card and my VHS. However unlike what is noted in its manual, page 191, there is no "Capture entire tape" option to click . Main problem is recordings keeps on stopping with "no signal " box. This is mind blowingly crazy. How in the world could the programmers of Roxio not take care of this. EVERYBODY has VHS with blank, poor sections. Almost all of us have hours and hours of tapes. Sitting next to your computer to keep reclicking on "capture" is ridiculously poor time management. I cannot take this. Luckily I bought from Costco so I will return it.

You are not reading the whole subject, that is not what it says at all!

I don't have an manual but looking in Help you can see that 10 says Capture Entire Tape

But the important part you are missing is the beginning where it says camera must be connected by Firewire

You are not connecting a 'camera' nor are you using a 'Firewire', hence the reason it doesn't apply.

When using the USB, some users have reported that connecting the VCR to a TV or DVD Player then connecting the USB to the Output of that device helps.

I was talking about composite video out attached to USB. I will try connecting via TV output. Thanks

Jim, THI is talking about capturing from VHS using the USB capture device. He is also quoting the C2010 manual and is correct about what is says regarding capturing on page 190-191. That chapter though does talk mainly about capturing from a digital DV camcorder and analog capture is an afterthought.
