I've been a customer since Roxio version 7. I then bought EasyMediaCreator9, and have since bought MyDVD Video Lab. I've been loyal but admit to being tested with my patience. Here is what is happening:
1) either with firewire or USB (occurs with either) I plug my Canon Optura XI into my computer which runs Windows 7. Both your software and Windows 7 are up to date with maintenance.
2) media import launches, the sandglass appears, but never goes away and nothing happens. The application shows 25% CPU but does not do anything, no matter how long you wait.
3) I must end the task and restart the application. It says there's already an instance running.
4) I look through an extensive list of "supported cameras" rather seeing an application that is media agnostic which bothers me. So, I am relegated to using Windows Live which has no problem capturing video, but does have have the intelligent capture of scenes that I used to enjoy way back in Roxio 7.
I see some discussion about it but Roxio staff always asks what kind of camera. This seems to be inadequate to me. ***THE ABSOLUTELY M O S T BASIC FEATURE IS VIDEO CAPTURE***. Without that, why did I pay for this? Are there any solutions? The bug has existed for as long as I have had MyDVD Video Lab. I need some help that improves the situation and need it in a responsive manner. Can you please help????
