Roxio easy VHS to DVD & Video Capture USB Troubles

Deavsfan33

Question

Hi everyone,

This seems to be the place to go to get your issues resolved and learn something at the same time. About two months ago I purchased the Roxio easy VHS to DVD w/ Video Capture USB from Best Buy. I installed the software on my computer and I only have options to burn music cd's and to rent movies. My Video Capture USB is not recognized and I believe that I am experiencing the same wrong driver issues as some of the other people I have read about. I have submitted a ticket and have been sent nothing but links and the same few questions. I was also recently told that I was only entitled to limited support since I purchased at Best Buy. I am trying to be patient but as someone who works in a customer service industry I feel like I am being given the runaround. I hope I can find a solution through these boards.

I would like to thank anyone who responds for their help.

-Josh

I just tried the clean install and am having the same issues. I am going to include my pc specs and a screen shot of what it looks like when I open Easy VHS to DVD.

Vista Home Premium SP 2

Toshiba Satellite A 205

Intel Pentium Dual CPU T2330 @ 1.60GHz each

2 GB of Ram

32-bit Operating System

My display driver is Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset Family.

I am having trouble posting the screen shot of the Roxio screen but the only options I have are to burn a music cd and rent movies. Windows is fully updated. Thank you all again for all of your help.

Is this the "clean install" procedure you followed http://kb.roxio.com/search.aspx?URL=/conte...S=set-locale=en

With some luck we can get you running.

You left off all the important stuff, like info about your System but lets' see if we can jump start things.

Your install did not work right and you will most likely need to do a Clean Install.

But look at the pinned post at the top here by cdanteek. It give an illustrated walk through of an install showing what you should be seeing.

The Clean Install procedure is at the end.
