Videowave play option not available

I have 4 VW prodution segments that I will import into a DVD when done. I have three that will pay without issue, but one that the play, forward, back all options on the VW are greyed out. I can do anything other things to the production, edit, add, delete, etc but can not play. As a matter of fact ther eis not even a play button for this. The other three play just fine.

 

I got en error of sorts, but cannot see it as it is blank.

 

When putting the mouse over the panel that is on the videowave preview window the mouse just appears to be busy. I have saved the production with another name but it will not play eihter. I cannot figure it out.

 

The audio does not play either, I can't seem to get the audio to even pull up to edit it.

 

Please help I have way too much time in this to redo it.

 

Windows 7, i7 processor.

 

NEW NOTE:

 

When I add the productin to dvd, I get an error message I can sorta see, COuld not create renderer object. This might be caused by DirextX 9.0 not being installed or. (this is wehre I cannot see the rest, will not scroll, copy, paste, or expand) FYI ther eis dirextX 11 on this machine.

What kind of video are you using in the problem project? Does the video play outside VW using WMP or some other video player?

When I try and export out I get te error that Unable to build the render graph, I was exporting as a avi.

 

Movies in the productin are also avi.

I am asking about the source video you are adding into VW, don't care about output at this point.

Yes sorry, got that just frustrated, avi is the added source. let me add that I have this on a portable HD and it plays just fine on a vista computer.

So when you add that avi to VW it will not play while all others play, correct? That would indicate that there is something about that avi that is not acceptable to VW. Where did the avi come from? How long in time is the clip?

 

Do you have some video converter that you can use to run it through? Perhaps you can even use Windows Movie Maker and see if you can convert it to something you can use.

No - I made this productin in VW, everything played fine - all avi's etc, in both theproduction and in windows. This morning it quit running on one of my 4 productions. However, when I move the portable drive back to my vista machine the entire production in question plays fine. It DID play on my w7 machine for about 2 days but quit as of this morning, with the directX error, and as I said the w7 machine has DX 11. All video's in question in all 4 productions play in other programs.

 

I cannot figure out why all of a sudden it quits with this error and does not even have a play button to press and why it continously thinks, my guess is it is trying to task something which is why the play button never appears.

I have had the same basic issue, one difference, my play/pause button, FF ect, do appear, but do not work. All other saved productions work fine, this production was working for weeks, but today it won't. Just downloaded all the DirectX updates from microsoft, no help. I can go to the trim function on a video clip and everything works, but I cannot save a change. An error message comes up... Directx 9.0 may not be installed (computer is 9 months old with windows 7) or the display adapter is not fully supporting DirectX 9.0 (three other productions work fine & I have completed 5 full movies on this system), but why wouldn't all productions have the same problem ?

Are you using the same transitions, effects, etc on all your production? Try to switch the render mode under Tools/Options.

List your system specs especially video card or adaptor. Are you using a laptop?
