Upgrading

I just downloaded Creator 2010 ( Two files - RoxioCreator2010Content_HV13AXD0SQA.exe and RoxioCreator2010_HX19AXC0R13.exe ) and need to know if I should uninstall Creator 6.2 before installing Roxio Creator 2010? Also, Which above file should I install first? I am running XP with SP3. Now that download is complete I can and will wait for proper guidance to install. Thank You

First prepare your computer. Install the one that does NOT say CONTENT.

 

No you do not have to uninstall Easy Media Creator 6.

Have you extracted the other download and ran setup.exe file?

Sounds like the download failed. Have you tried redownloading?

The EXE file should be 1,098,510,336 bytes in size when you right-click on the file in Windows and ask for Properties.

 

If it's shorter than that, you haven't got all of it down.

Downloaded RoxioCreator2010Content_HV13AXD0SQA.exe again but this time it checked in at 1,098,510,336 and all is good!! Now the sad part was uninstalling Creator 6 which I have used for four years but a side benefit was uninstalling InterVideo DVD Player which was about a hundred years old!! Thanks For all of your help.

After extreme backup I installed RoxioCreator2010_HX19AXC0R13.exe file. Install seemed to do OK (I have not had time to check all the uses yet). I double clicked RoxioCreator2010Content_HV13AXD0SQA.exe to install Content but all I get was a quick black window ( DOS screen ? ) and nothing else for install. I now have RoxioCreator2010 version 1.2.193SP2 installed and I maybe missing a trick as to installing CONTENT Download? I still have RoxioCreator6 installed, would this have any effect on installing CONTENT?

Any suggestions.

Try extracting the .exe with winzip and run the setup.exe once extracted.

the RoxioCreator2010Content_HV13AXD0SQA.exe that I downloaded is 1,084,990,381 bytes , seems shy of a full load don't it. I am starting to think my download was short, what do you think?
