Opening a "saved" project

Help Nellie

Question

I have Red Box and have used it for a couple of years. It's a little flakey, but I have learned to work around most of the issues and love the results. But, there is one I just can't figure out. When saving a DVD slideshow it appears to save it as *.dmss. But, when I drop down "open a saved project" from the Edit in Create Slideshow, the only file type options offered are *ROXIO, *SONIC, *PXJ and *CL (if there are more, I can't see them). When I type in the name of the saved project, it doesn't find it. If I do a search for "*.dmss", nothing is found. Thanks for help.

I am having the same problem. I saved an uncompleted slideshow project when prompted and now I can't find it anywhere.

A trick I use when I wasn't paying attention during Save, is to open the app and click on save…

Then pay attention to where it is putting it! (My Documents, in this case)

And by navigating there, you can see it is present:

Slideshow Assistant has always had the quirk that to open an existing xxxx.dmss file, the program must be closed, then you simply double click the xxxx.dmss file:

It should then simply 'pop' open with the project loaded!
