C2010 does not recognize CDs or DVDs

Fred TX

Question

DL is double layer and should be available most places. How much are you trying to copy to the DVD?

DVD-R is a recordable DVD; there is an equivalent that is DVD+R. Anything you buy at CVS is probably crap unless it says Verbatim.

What are you trying to do with Roxio burn? It is good for archiving (saving) files. Window 7 has a similar built in burning program.

I cannot get creator 2010 to recognize my cd or dvd and when i try and repair program in add and remove programs it tells me that the file 'BurnMgr.MSI' cant be found. What is the cure fore this

If Windows sees your burners then turn off your anti-virus and do a repair on the program from the Windows Add/Remove Program function. Have you disc handy or point to the downloaded file if it asks for it.
