Certificate file missing or corrupted

I reinstalled CD creator 2009 after several days of problems,now after three attempts to reinstall without success i finally have completed the reinstall.Now i am getting "The certificate file is missing or has been corrupted.Please reinstall it." I am reinstalling from disc,have the CD key.What do i do now? Thanks for any help.

Did you follow all the steps when uninstalling/reinstalling the software?

Hopefully following those instructions will work.

If for some reason you do them and still get the error do a search of your hard drive for Certificate.

If it finds any .rcx files delete them.Those are Roxio certificate files.Then try the reinstall again.

I agree with several of the other posts on here that this software is so difficult to install, and the support seems totally none existent. I am surprised that they even have a forum for the users to communicate to each other. The "fixes" for this certificate issue are unacceptable. ROxio is a poor software company and there programs are poorly tested and updated.

If they work, why are they unacceptable? I don't believe that anyone who had the problem were not able to fix them with one of the "fixes".
