Leah Keith
I am trying to copy some software to my DVD-R cd but it's been sitting "preparing" for almost an hour!! I don't want to abort because it warns my cd will be unusable. Thanks!
tsantee
It's probable that Toast already began writing to the disc and it will be unusable. I believe you'll need to force quit Toast. I'm unsure what is the cause. It may just be a defective disc. In your next attempt choose Save as Disc Image instead of clicking the burn button. Presuming that goes well then select the disc image using the Image File setting in the Copy window to burn the disc. Choose a burn speed other than Best (the speeds are shown after the blank disc is inserted and recognized). Let us know if this doesn't work either. russell pierce
I was having the same problem and had even upgraded to Toast 10 to see if the problem resided with 9. Still no luck. I read your answer and it worked perfectly. A shame to have to go through these extra steps but thanks for the tip that has me back burning again.
