Audio question

HighPoint

Question

i just got this program today, so just kinda confused on one thing. I did every update the installation asked me, so when I did a test run on a VHS tape i have when i was in HS(5 years ago) i just want a 30 sec piece of it for a reunion project.

i captured the video, the quality looks good on my laptop, but the audio is questionable. Back in the day i was on ABC nightly news with a choir, it starts out with us doing the piece of music (audio is perfect) then it goes to a clip of someone talking but you can still hear our music piece in the background (the audio goes bad here, the guys voice is very deep/slow, cant hear the music that well) then after the guy is done talking, the audio is fine again.

anyone have any ideas what is wrong?

To get the version # you open the program and click Help, About This Software. Don't post your CD-Key..

Open device manager with the USB Capture Device Plugged in, do you show (right click Properties) red arrows for XP?

for Version it says: 1.1.125 SP2; 4.50.13A, and it looks like the one if the link you provided

and for the device manager, i found everything that was shown in the pictures

Only other suggestion is reboot the PC, shut everything off including antivirus and firewall, and unhook from the internet. Now don't do anything except recapture and see if it's ok...

There is no more update!

Do you not understand this? "reboot the PC, shut everything off including antivirus and firewall, and unhook from the internet. Now don't do anything except recapture and see if it's ok..."
