Have never used this program before, can capture video but no audio. The specs: Toshiba laptop (555D), Windows 7 ultimate, Roxio 2010, Star-tech video capture cable (USB).
When I get to the capture page I have a clear picture but no sound, Have burned disks also no sound when played off disk in DVD player.
When at the media import screen I go to options, at the general screen I have a choice of composite or S-video, I choose composite because that is what I have for a TV output.
Then the trouble starts, when I click on audio input it is greyed and has no choices (it shows "microphone (hi definition audio) which is a 3.5mm jack for audio or speech recognition. No choice for USB of any type.
I have tried using the red and white audio (RCA jacks) and a cable to plug into 3.5mm jack still no sound on burned disk, but it gets better. If I go to listen I can get TV sound, but when I open capture I have no picture, when not listening on PC speakers, I get video picture.
But wait there is more, I have disabled the audio input jack, no sound on disk, have reloaded all programs, no sound on disk, checked the device manager and I have a USB audio program (EMP USB audio device) which windows says the driver is up to date and working properly. I usually get around pretty well in the computer but I am stumped. If anyone has any ideas shoot them at me and thanks!
