Importing pictures in windows 7

Question

Hello,

I have had nothing but trouble with Roxio Creator 2010. Maybe it is because I have not taken to much time with it. I just bought a Nikkon D5000 and I want to get into it. I hooked up my camera and clicked on the icon for Roxio and when it came up , I clicked on photo and then import. And it stated that my resolution was too high and it needed to be at 1068 x 768 or something. I changed the Resolution and still I get the same message. Why, Why, why???

Thank You in Advance

I have the same Nikon, but I haven't tried importing them into PhotoSuite (actually Roxio Media Import) directly. I take the memory card, out of the D5000, put it in the card reader that I got, with the camera, plug it into a USB port on my computer, and copy the photos to a folder on my hard drive.

From there, I can bring them into PhotoSuite (in the Roxio suite) for editing.

If you are connecting your Nikon directly to the your computer, try using the Nikon Transfer program to get them into a folder on your computer.

If I get a chance, I will try the Roxio Media Import, but I won't have a chance to try it until tomorrow. It should work. The resolution of my photos are 4288 x 2848. That is the Fine setting in the camera, which is the highest resolution .jpeg.

Are you sure that it isn't saying that your monitor resolution is too LOW? What monitor do you have?
