roxio creater 9

Question

My Roxio creator 9 was working well for 12 months then asked for an activaition number. I have tried reloading and tried to get one offline. Neither of these has worked. Roxio support only said to wipe computer completely which I refuse to do. Then I see on the forum that Roxio support can give me an activiation number. I contacted them again to be told that this version is no longer covered by their support and to upgrade to 2010. How can I trust that this will work and want happen again in the future.

Version 9 was the only version that had a problem with activation. Not being able to get the activation to go through did not happen to everyone.
