program closes during searching for video input

Hi all,

 

is there any possibility to run the program on a power book G4?

 

Video playing over scart to the usb dongle, Startup program and when it comes to the window searching for the video input, it closes completely.

 

I know G4 is not recommended system requirement, but at least it's "just" recording a pretty slow video signal over usb...

 

Anybody to help me out?

That's pretty far below the minimum system requirements. You probably are better off getting a standalone DVD recorder rather than using the Mac.

I'm in the same boat! Although a bit "old" I thought my PowerBook G4 was a solid computer. If anyone has a suggestion I'd appreciate it. I can upload video galore from my camcorder via the firewire port, but this video via USB hub seems to be the problem. I'm pissed off! Come on, how hard should this be???? d

Its not hard at all, but you have 2strikes against you all ready.

 

First, your PowerBook does not meet the minimum requirements ( http://www.roxio.com/enu/products/easy-vhs-to-dvd/mac/requirements.html ).

 

Second, the USB device should be plugged directly into your computer (no hub).
