Trouble burning from iTunes

Elainec

Question

I just bought and installed Easy CD & DVD and when I try to add a song to create an audio disc, the software closes with an error which tells me that Roxio has stopped working - a problem occurred to stop the program from working properly - and then it just closes the programme.

I'm trying to import songs from my iTunes library (since that's also coming up with an error) to add tracks and then burn a CD. I bought the Roxio software as I'd been told that it was very easy to use, but now I have my doubts about it.

If anyone has any solutions I'd be very grateful.

Elaine

To be honest with you, I don't know as I'm really not particularly IT literate - can get by with certain things, but others just go over the top of my head.

Very briefly, my CD drive stopped working and I had to send it back for repair and it looks as though I've had a new drive put in, as the name does not look the same as the original one I had before it was sent away. Based on that, every time I try to burn a CD through iTunes it comes up with an error and iTunes don't seem interested in sorting it out - interestingly, I also have a desktop with the same version of iTunes on it, but I can burn music CD's on that just fine.

Roxio was recommended to me by a friend, so I went to buy a copy and now find that it looks as though this might not have solved the problem either. It's obvously not completely useless as I can still create CD's using the desktop, but can't using the HP laptop which seems pointless then having a music library taking up memory if I can't do anything with it.

I'm starting to get quite frustrated, and will contact the service desk guys for the laptop to see if they can advise of anything, but it would appear that I've spent money for no good reason.

On your Laptop, use the Roxio Home app to get some disc info – interested in the make and model of the drive.
