save movie to extrenal hard drive

I'd like to be able to save my movies to an external hard drive instead of the movie folder on my computer but cant find the setting in the application which allows me to do this. Has anyone discovered this? I dont have enough room on my computer do the the work I need to do, but have plenty of room on an external drive.

That isn't an option. Roxio has received requests to add it because it makes good sense. The only workaround I can think of is to install the OS on the external drive and boot from it.
