Confused and Frustrated

Question

I am trying to copy a dvd onto a dvd+r using a multi-format recorder and roxio 2010. Using the basic copy function, I've been able to get my sister's 2009 version to do it just fine, so it's not copyright issues. The player is compatible. The disk goes through the whole burning process just fine, but after I burn the disc, it doesn't work in my player. When I burn the disc using 2009 on my sister's computer, the disc works just fine in the same player i put my computer's burned disc in. We both have the same computer with same function. I checked if i needed driver updates and I don't. What am I doing wrong?

What difference does 'Get Disc Information' show comparing the two disc's?

Quite possibly, you're doing nothing wrong. Even though you have "the same computer", it is different hardware. Even if the drives are the same make and model, they're different drives, and will produce a different disc. Try a different brand of blank disc in your machine to see if that makes a difference. Verbatim's are typically regarded as reliable, as are Taiyo Yuden discs (if you can find them). You may want to try a DVD-R instead of DVD+R. Try a few different combinations and see if that makes any difference.
