bernardperbal
Hi everybody I am experiencing problems with session burning. I use toast 7.0.2 , session mode, MAC/PC hybrid mode. When I burn first session : no problem When I burn second session : only the first one is visible and accessible, both on MAC or PC If I burn a third one, I only see the last (third) one....and so on ! I tried changing media, and speed for burning : no difference ! Is this a known problem with toast 7 ? Thanks in advance Bernard
tsantee
That's odd. What is supposed to happen is that on the Mac each session appears in the finder as its own disc volume. So if you burn three sessions to a CD you'll have three separate disc icons appear in the Finder. On the PC you get only one icon but it will contain the data from all three sessions. The reason for the difference is how HFS+ for Macs and ISO 9660 for PCs is designed to work. Prior to your post the only time I've read of problems mounting previous sessions on a Mac is when the disc was burned using different OS versions or different settings in Toast (such as burning one session Mac & PC and another session Mac only). Please look again to see if there are any other mounted icons in the Finder or if the content of the different sessions does show in the PC.
