Unable to instal Service Pack 4

I am unable to start Ultimate Creator 2009,and the message advises installing Service Pack 4. When I try to do this,from the zip.file downloaded to my desktop I get the error message "Cannot delete target file " C\Program Files\Common Files\Roxio Shared\11.0\Shared COM\RoxMediaDB11.exe".

 

I dont know what to do,any help would be gratefully appreciated,as the media suite wont function doing anything?? :unsure:

ogdens beat me by that much ! (From the Get Smart TV series).

 

That service is active and therefore it can't be deleted without being deactivated (stopped). Here is another way.

 

Most of us have that turned off so it is not usually a problem. You can go to Roxio Media Manager and to the top menu and select stop watching folders and then reboot.

or

Use CTRL+ALT+DEL to get to Windows Task Manager, go to the services tab and find that entry. Right click on it and turn the service off. You should then be able to install SP4.

 

You may run into one or two others that you would handle the same way.

I have 2009 Special Edition and am running on Windows 7 Professional. Would not run until I installed SP4. SP4 did not install until I told it to run the SP4 install "as administrator". Successful and Creator 2009 Special Edition runs on Windows 7 w/o errors.

It may run for awhile but Creator 2009 is not W7 compatable. Keep your fingers crossed.
