Toast 9.0.7

Hi, for some time now (I believe since some update) each time I want to burn a DVD I get the message "interface error: -50, the connexion is not stable. This does not change what ever the fire-wire cable I use on a LaCie Nec 500AG.

Would anyone have an idea?

iMac Intel Core 2 Duo, OS 10.5.8

It doesn't have to be a connection issue. There is a communication problem between the drive and Toast. This can be Toast's problem and not the drive's. I suggest completely trashing Toast 9 including the two Toast files in your User>Library>Preferences folder and reinstalling. You can reinstall both your original copy of Toast and the latest Toast 9 update by giving the folders different names. Try them both to see if one works and the other does not. They both should work.

You also can check if a firmware update is available for your drive and test with a different brand of blank media.
