Placement of Track Separators

Question

What am I doing wrong?

I recorded an LP, used track detection that worked well, but I wanted to shift the track separator.

So I clicked on the waveform at 3:00, and began to play (listening to where to put the separator), clicked pause at 3:10 (playback cursor is now at 3:10), then clicked on Add Track Separator

The separator was added, but at 3:00 not 3:10 !

So I tried using Stop instead of Pause, with the same result.

The only way I've been able to get this to work correctly is to stop or pause playback, then click on the playback cursor (blue/grey bar), then click on the Add Track Separator.

What it seems like is that the track separator disregards the current position of the playback cursor and "remembers" instead where you clicked last to position the playback cursor, regardless of it's current position.

Is this just an pecularity with the program, or am I missing something?

Thanks
