VideoCD or SVCD

Question

I need to make a simple video cd on a business card sized cd. I need it to start up and run on a pc or mac if possible.

I currently have been able to make one that will only seem to play on a standalone dvd player. Roxio 10 says you can make a Video CD or Svcd, but it only points me to the dvd burner software.

I don't believe it is possible to make a SVCD or VCD movie disc on a small disc with this program. You only have 2 CD sized discs to chose from in MyDVD (Create DVD). They are the normal sized discs.

If you are only going to play the disc on a computer, you can just copy a video file to a disc (for example a mpg2 or MOV file). I think business card CD are rated for 24 minutes. You can use Creator Classic under the Data Tab - "Burn Data Disc Advanced". Remember that many MAC computers have slot loading and may not be able to take the disc. Make sure you burner will burn that size disc.

Do you have Easy Media Creator 10 (EMC 10) or Roxio Creator 2010? These are two different program suites, 2 years/versions apart. Please be correct when specifying program names to avoid a lot of confusion.

When you start a new project you are given the option to create a VCD or SVCD (under New project). I am assuming that you are using myDVD for burning.

Perhaps if you explained exactly what your are doing, we can help.

BTW, many if not most DVD players will not play VCDs or SVCDs. All PC computer players though should play them. I have no idea if Macs can play VCDs or SVCs
