Video Playback on Ipod too small

I used to use an older Roxio product on a PC to convert my tivo togo to my ipod. It was great. I now have a mac and am using Toast 10. Now, when I transfer the video to my ipod they are playing back in about a third of the screen size. What is up? The ipod screens are small enough as it is. What am I doing wrong. I cannot figure out how to fix it.

Do you have a series 1 or 2 TiVo? What is the resolution (e.g. 480x480) of the TiVo video before exporting to iPod?
