Unable to burn discs to external pioneer drive

I am running Roxio 9 on my new computer with a Windows 7 OS and each time I try to use my external drive to burn a disc it goes through an abbreviated motion of burning the disc ending with an error message that there a scsi read error. I can burn thing successfully with the internal burner.

 

Am I to understand that the new Roxio Burn has fixes for Windows 7 users? Having purchased Roxio Creator 9 and Roxio 2010 pro, I do want to spend another $20 for a fix.

 

Is there some other method to fix this toaster making problem and yes I have updated the drivers.

scsi read errors are associated with the drive more so than the software

 

Try making an image file to the hard drive first and themn use imgburn to write that to the disc

Also bear in mind that Creator 2009 is NOT Windows 7 compatible (presuming that is you are running Creator 2009 and not EMC 9 - there's a big differendce in those two)

BTW, I do have EMC 9.

I moved this to the correct forum - i'm completely surprised you managed to get the program to work at all - Creator 2010 is the only one certified for Windows 7
