Encoding an AVI File going at very fast speeds!

cap2587

Question

I am using Roxio Creator Pro 2010 to try and encode an AVI File into an Iso Image. I am using My DVD, no menu's, 8.5 GB Size, HQ, saving it as a disk image. The problem is that it is encoding the movie at twice the speed as it usually does and I am afraid that may effect the quality of the Iso. Is there a setting to adjust the speed of the encoding back to a slower speed, if so where is that. Thanks.

I have a new computer that has an I7-920 CPU, 6 GB of RAM, and an Evga GTX 260 GPU. Maybe the computer running very quick has made the encoding process alot faster. The program opens up super quickly as well. Everything looks okay with the Iso file it creates so I probably have nothing to worry about. Thanks for your help.

What do you mean by "it is encoding the movie at twice the speed as it usually does"? There is no setting to adjust the "speed of encoding."

It just looks like it is performing the encoding at double the speed it usually does. You know how when you select 2 times while your watching a movie to fast forward the commercials. It is taking half the amount of time it normally does. if you say that there is no setting to slow this process down then everything must be okay. Thanks

Does the encoded video look alright? The encoding might be faster because there are no other tasks being done by the computer, the video may already be in the proper video format, etc
