"Roxio VideoConvert has stopped working"

aTexn

Question

Purchased and received the _Roxio easy Video Copy & Convert_ hard copy in a DVD case. Running windows 7 on a late model dell XPS with factory installed Roxio 10.

Roxio 10 and additional VHS to DVD all work fine. I installed the aforementioned Copy & Convert software and it uninstalls my VHS to DVD software. The wizard won't allow me to choose another file folder other than the Roxio 10 path. That's the first really big pisser!

After installing Copy & Convert, it has the name _Roxio Easy DVD Copy Premier_

I have tried to copy YouTube video using the Copy & Convert feature but keep getting: "Roxio VideoConvert has stopped working" from the "Web Video" portion of the pop up.

What gives?

When you try to mix & match to build your own Suite from individual programs you run the risk of installing some that are incompatible to each other… There is a lot of overlap in the individual standalone programs and they wreck each other. :(

What we need from you is a list of your version numbers. You can get these by starting each program and clicking on Help-About.

For example the Dell OEM that came with your PC is most likely 10.3.xxx. And your Easy VHS to DVD is probably 1.2.198. There is normally a Build number too and that would be helpful in addition to the Version ;)

Do this for each program and we can probably advise you which ones are going to give you trouble :D
