Insert Photo in VideoWave HELP, please

Mrs. Mik

Question

I'm creating a video from still pictures. I've added my pics and added text to them. I've since come to realize I need to add a photo at the beginning of the video. When I add one, all my text is messed up and shows up one picture too soon (because of the newly added photo). I can't seem to find an easy way to add the photo without having to go and edit all my text.

Can anyone help?

Thanks!

You can add the text to a photo using the internal tracks for a photo. That way all text, effects, etc will move when a photo gets shifted.

If text spans two or more photos thenit can only be applied on the main video track and will have to be shifted manually.

Existing text on the main video text can easily be shifted by selecting the text and while holding down the mouse button drag the text box along the timeline.

For this project to save some time (in the future, use the suggestion above)

From Video Wave (without the added picture) export the file to "mpg for DVD, best quality". It will render to a video file and it will take some time. Create a new project add the image you want to add and any text (in the internal track), then add a transition (if you want) and then the video file.

Since that video is encoded, the second time will be faster. Note you will not be able to do much editing of that video file without a lot of finagling.

i find it easier to add text in a Photo editting mode, then put them into Videowave--seems to be more options as far as text that way

What do you mean by "photo editing mode"? Are you referring to Photosuite? How would you apply any of the text effects such as scrolling, fade in/out, etc? What "more options" are you referring to?
