AVI to DVD

Question

Hey,

I know there have probably been posts similar to mine, and if so, could you please direct me to one that may be able to resolve my issue. I am trying to burn an .avi file onto a DVD, but I there is no audio when I try to play the DVD, on both, my computer and dvd player. I have downloaded Perian and the video will play in quicktime with sound but when I burn to a DVD I have a great video, just no sound. I have gone through a few DVDs trying to correct this. Does anyone know what my issue may be? or how to correct it? Also, I don't receive any error messages or anything like that, it encodes and burns smoothly, it's just the finished result that doesn't have sound.

Thanks for your time.

Installing Perian is almost always the fix for this issue. However, you must have Toast encode the video after installing Perian. It may have used its earlier encoding. Empty the Roxio Converted Items folder, add your AVI to the Video window and try again.
