Label Creator issue

Madrid25

Question

Label Creator does not work in 2009 or 2010. I bought both. I only want to do something simple like get a label booklet for music CD's. It lists the songs and not the artist. Also, the order of the songs is different. I have been trying for a refund because of the 30 day policy. So far I have been getting the run around.

Good luck but I would not buy it.

I have had a lot of trouble with Label Creator 2010. It does not list the artists and the songs are in a different order than on the CD. I previously purchased Creator 2009 and then I was told it was not compatible with Windows 7. Therefore, I purchased Creator 2010. I had the same problem with 2010 as I did with 2009. I am trying for a refund with the 30 day guarantee but so far I am getting the run around.

I only want to do something simple and I can't. Roxio version 6 from 2003 was great. I don't understand why they changed it when it worked fine.

Can anyone think of something I can do to solve the problem. I have tried everything I can think of.

That is probably not true at all…

But without some sort of solid example of your problem, no one is going venture a guess.

Why don’t you take us through one, Step by Step so we know what you are referring to.

A lot depends on HOW you are compiling the tracks

If they are from mp3s, the info has to be in the file properties or it simply doesn't exist

If you are ripping a complete CD, then normally it contacts the Gracenote site and gets the info from there - if you are ripping tracks, the only info you will have is what you put in yourself

Sure it does. First, use 'Create Labels-Advanced". Select audio project. Select booklet. Select Show/Hide Smart Objects. Select what you want on the label. You can then auto-fill from disc. The information HAS to be available on the disc. Here is an example of an mp3 disc booklet with the correct audio tags and then an image where only the names were put on the disc Audio tags were not put on disc)

I don't know about play order. Are you making a mp3 disc or an audio disc. If mp3, then there is an option to rename the mp3 music files to keep the same play order. It is a data disc and Windows sees the numerical infor and put the files in numerical order.

WHO did you contact for a refund. Did you buy Creator 2010 directky from Roxio? If not, you are out of luck. If you bought it from Roxio, then you have the information about where you can get the refund on the e-mail you got for the download site.

Since you cannot buy Creator 2009 from Roxio, you must have bought it somewhere else. You cannot get a Roxio refund; you have to try to get it from where you bought it.
