Get your act together, Roxio

Airvay

Question

I don't know how many topics I have read about the 064C error thrown up when trying to install Roxio Creator 2010 and how many references are made to clean installs and the sort. This is just shirting the issue, Roxio. The truth is simply that Creator has no business trying to install DirectX 7 on computers that are running DirectX 9 and above. Just create the option to bypass the DirectX installation - you've had plenty of time for this. There are topics dating back to September 2009 on this subject.

This is not Roxio but just a users forum. We have no say on how Roxio does its programming.

Also I don't know what your post is about. I don't know where you get the idea that C2010 is trying to install DirectX 7:blink:

I had that experience recently with Easy VHS to DVD. Problem, installation disk came with outdated ActiveX files. Fixed it by copying files from other Roxio application that installed. By the way, Roxio tech support did not contact me yet.

Nobody is talking about ActiveX files in this thread.

BTW, you just responded to an almost year old thread

Apart from anything else - do you seriously believe any company is going to recall large numbers of discs just because MS has updated their software?

Even a graphics card will have out of date drivers when you buy it - that's what online updating is FOR
