Easy Audio Capture from speakers

VRTV

Question

Hello,

Hopefully someone can help me.

I have a Dell Latitude 620 that had XP.

Upgraded to Vista.

I was able to capture from speakers using Easy Audio Capture to create .mp3 files.

I bought a larger hard drive and did a clean install of Vista (Now up to SP2) and reinstalled Creator 9 (2009)

Now my only options are capture from Mic and Line.

How can I capture from the speakers again?

Recording level and balance are greyed out.

There are no options for the input drop down menu.

Did you update the audio card/chip drivers?

Yes; latest drivers are installed. Gives a generic "High Definition Audio Device"

What does Device Manager say about your audio devices? Is it listed and does it have an exclamation next to it?

Working properly; listed with no exclamation point.

Open the application and left click on the speaker icon at the bottom right of you windows page. Select mixer. Do you see the application and is the volume up and not muted on your speakers and on the program??
