i'm having difficulty with my windows media player recognizing tracks from some of the cd's i'm ripping and putting on a pocket drive. when i go to the pocket drive the tracks are there, yet windows media drive does not "find" them. is there someting i am doing incorrectly? is there some step that i'm leaving out?

If it's just some of the tracks and not all, there may be a bit of corruption.

What format are you saving them to?

Try ripping them to the hard drive first and check them there - then copy to the thumb drive and see if they still work

i'm ripping them as mp3's. if i try and play the tracks which do not show up in wmp, they play great. i've tried your suggestion to no avail.
