Easy Vhs To Dvd Does Not Recognize The Usb Device

dlearious

Question

I am frustrated because I am not able to get the easy vhs to dvd to recognize the usb device. I have tried the patch from the web site. I have uninstalled and reinstalled with the USB device in the computer. I am so frustrated I am probably going to throw this package in the trash and not buy another roxio product.

That can be very frustrating!

It is either your equipment doesn’t meet the specs or the install didn’t go right (most likely) :(

In order to help you, need to know what your equipment is, like I have in my signature block.

And will need to know your version is. There are 3 of them, see the pinned post – Here

The exact error message you are seeing would be helpful too. ;)

I am not able to get my computer to recognize the Roxio, Video Capture USB device.

I have Roxio Easy VHS to DVD for PC, Build 201B23A.

I verified my computer does have USB 2.0 ports in the back.

I have downloaded the separate driver for the USB device, and tried installing it without the USB device in the port, with the USB device installed while installing the driver, and tried it yet a third time without the USB device in the port - Note that I uninstalled the driver between each attempt to install the drivers, and included a reboot every time.

I have Pentium 4 2.6Ghz with 1.5 Gb RAM, a WinFast A7600 GS (Nvidia) video card, all running on a better quality INTEL motherboard with dual channel memory, etc. 60Gb SATA hard drive, Adaptec SCSI adapter with two fast SCSI drives, a slightly above average Pentium 4 cpu. The O/S is Windows XP PRO with SP3.

My computer runs cleanly otherwise as I run AntiVirus and anti-Malware programs and perform regular maintenance (defrag, scan disk, delete unneeded files, clean registry, and so forth).
