Codecs

Question

Hello, I am thinking about upgrading but have a question concerning codecs and what Creator 2010 can export to. I am a web developer and need to be able to export videos out to html 5 types of videos. ogv, ogg, mp4 (for both Iphones and Ipad - to work in Safari), webm, and possibly flv or swf files. can it do that? thank you.

Those are not types of video , but 'containers' which can have many different types of video streams. To answer your question, only MP4 is support.

Found this on the net:

There is no single combination of containers and codecs that works in all HTML5 browsers.

This is not likely to change in the near future.

Tomake your video watchable across all of these devices and platforms, you’re going to need to encode your video more than once.
