Merge Avchd Files

jburt25

Question

Hi,

I would like to be able to quickly merge multiple AVCHD (m2ts format) files into a single file. While I know this can be done using Videowave, that seems quite cumbersome. All I want to is splice these files together quickly as my Canon video camera produces each scene a single file.

Is there any way to do this easily in Roxio Creator 2010?

Yes and no...

I don't see what is hard about grabbing all of the MTS files at one time and adding them to VW?

You can then add transitions and save the Project.

Then you add that Project to MyDVD and make a disc...

Of if you don't want transitions or editing, just add all of the files to MyDVD at one time and tell it what you want to do when it asks.

If you are adding them in VW and then Exporting them, you are wasting your time, although it can have a purpose...

I'm trying to convert a substantial number of MTS files to DVD format. If as suggested here I grab all the files at one go about halfway through the program will crash in fact grabbing 20 or 30 will also cause the crash and yes I have SP2 installed.

Win 7 Enterprise 64 Bit, 4 GB RAM, AMD Phenom X2 at 3.1 GHz ATI Radeon with 512Mb RAM

It would really help if you would use conventional language. No such thing as "DVD format"

I explained how it should be done, I have no idea what you are doing or how you are attempting to do it?

Before you get back with that info, try loading your program disc and running the Repair option... Otherwise your PC looks good although the video card isn't specified.
