Disc Spanning

ag2231

Question

While I have not burned anything that required spanning across multiple discs since Toast 9, I thought it would only get better in version 10 of Toast; not true. So far I get the same error every time I try to burn info across multiple even though the display window tells me how many discs will be required for the amount of data (Discs x, Data Y), not enough space on disc for the amount of data (I'm paraphrasing). Anyone have any ideas on how to correct this?

I am getting a similar problem when trying to archive AVCHD files from my camcorder. Although the number of disks is reported as 12, just before the burning is about to start on the 1st disk I get an error that tells me that only 98 files can be burned, but my camcorder has about 500, so the archiving problem does not start! I ask support for help but all they gave me was an extract from the manual which I have already followed. Very poor customer service and support.

Also, does anyone know how to have the AVCHD files burned onto a DVD without having pauses between files of about 1 sec duration. I have burned directly AVCHD files directly from a Panasonic recorder and there were no gaps.

Thanks in advance

Just saw this post. I am having exactly the same problem so it is pretty clear it is a fault with the software. Roxio must know about this by now but have done nothing to fix it as far as I know.

If anyone can help, or suggest another Mac friendly burning program it would be greatly appreciated.
