To start with, 99.9% of the turntables need to go through an amplifier before you can record at ‘normal’ volumes. Would also like to know what Program you are using - there are 3 V2D programs out there. (see the pinned post at the top) Likewise it would be best if you would provide details of your turntable & connections.
harleyman
Make sure you have the Stereo Mix enabled in your Sound card recording section. I cannot find that option within my settings, I have integrated sound on the motherboard, and all the options I have are the properties. Maybe I am overlooking the option but can not find it anywhere.

harleyman
Jim I also have the same problem. At this time I have no speakers hooked to my stereo system because I no longer use these components except for transferring cassette and LP to computer via the Roxio Easy VHS to DVD software. I normally plug in my headphones via the jack on the receiver/amp so I can listen while recording. I am using a Dell XPS 1330 with Win7 64bit Professional. The turntable is an Onkyo CP-1026A and the receiver/amp is an Onkyo TX-SV434. I am coming out of the amp via the tape out RCA ports into the Video Capture USB device to the Dell. I have transferred several LP's and the sound is great after completion. But I would like to be able to monitor during recording without using my headphones and use the Dell speakers. Thanks.
