Making Dvd Labels?

Cowboy0001

Question

I am familiar with using Easy Creator 5 in making DVD labels and today I had to upgrade to the 2010 software. Well, in my making the labels I have a huge pack of Memorex exPressit labels I would like to use but I cannot find a way to use it in Roxio 2010. Is threre a way to use the formatting of these labels or do I have to throw them away? Easy Creator 5 was perfect for me and it had a way to use different resources for the labels I needed to make. Can anyone enlighten me in this geek territory? Blessings, Kevin

If I recall correctly it's recommended you DON'T use stick on labels on DVDs

The higher rotation speed can cause them to shatter if the label is off-centred causing wobble

From the Memorex guide

"Paper labels are not recommended for DVD discs.

The expansion and contraction of moisture in the paper and the accumulation of heat in a DVD drive can alter the flatness of a disc enough that it falls out of the tilt specification and may not be able to be read."

Bottom line: unless you find a recommended source of labels causing no problems, it's strongly recommended NOT to use paper labels on your DVDR discs.
