Slow Burning

jpetcare

Question

I am trying to burn a movie that is almost 1hour and 45 mins. long. My computer is an amd turion x2 processor runnig at 2.1 ghz. per core, with a nvidia 9200m graphics card. it has cuda support, and i have 3 gigs of ram. currently the video has taken more than 2 hours to complete 10 percent of the encoding process. What am i doing wrong? I used to have creator 9 and it was much faster. What can i do to speed up the process a lot?

You're not doing anything wrong - with that graphics set you're getting a bit under 1:1 ratio which is what you would expect with Creator 2010 (it takes more processing power than EMC 9 did).

You could try updating the drivers from nVidia and see if that improves matters, but I'd honestly doubt if it will make an appreciable difference

If it's going to take more than 20 hours to encode, there's definitely something wrong! :(
