Audio Capture From Internet

rbvett

Question

I have a Dell XPS running XP SP3, and have a Realtek sound card. After loading Creator 2010 I tried to capture audio from the internet, but the Roxio Easy Audio Capture pop up box shows only "Line Volume" in the "Input" window. I previously used Roxio Easy Media Creator 10 Suite on this PC, and had no problems capturing internet audio, so no idea what happened.

Scan of my Roxio Audio page is attached.

Appreciate any suggestions that will let me capture audio.

The Realteck is going to give you problems. Even if it is enabled, you may not hear the audio being captured. When the select either of the options, do you see the volume level bouncing?

Right click on the speaker option on the speaker icon at the bottom right of your tool bar. Select recording device and then select any of the ones you see. Right click to select t show hidden and disabled devices. Select the one you want and enable it. Close that out. When the program is open, go back to the speaker icon and select mixer. Make sure that nothing is muted.

I'm using Vista so my screen short may not be he same as what you see.

Go into your Volume Control settings>Recording Control and select Stereo Mix.

It could be slightly different in your set up maybe called "Wave Out Mix".

It is a function of your Sound Card.

This may help http://www.desivideonetwork.com/view/35265576k/how-to-setup-stereo-mix-in-xp/
