bishopflynn
Using ROXIO MEDIA IMPORT I have grabbed video from vhs using Capture settings DVD HQ - Mpeg 2 8M/S Using ROXIO VIDEO WAVE I then imported this to a new project. I exported it as generic mpeg 1 normal quality to my desktop. When I play the new movie file in a mediaplayer It does not fill the FullScreen mode. Any ideas? Jim_Hardin
Are you using the Roxio Video Capture USB device? I don't think it can capture widescreen correctly…
bishopflynn
Thanks Gary and jim for the replies. I should have mentioned that the trial movie had sub-titles and was in 4:3. THis seems to have been the problem. Yes I am using the Roxio Video Capture device that came with Easy VHS to DVD. I'll post again when I have tried capturing wide-screen. Thanks again Hal
ggrussell
Any particular reason you chose to export using MPEG 1? Or is that a typo?
bishopflynn
Hi Gary, No not a typo. I chose MPEG 1 so that it and other movies could be played on a MAC iBook. I'm kinda new to the world of video compatability and was led to believe that MPEG 2 would not play on Quicktime or iTunes. Do you know of other Mac software that could be used? ggrussell
Could be the MPEG 1 format, but WMP should still stretch the image.
ggrussell
I see no reason why MPEG 2 wouldn't play. That is what a video DVD uses and AVC Good Quality should also work fine.
