Roxio 2010 Audio Cds Skips

helpseeker

Question

CDs I've made of voice downloads play fine on some CD players, but skip on the new player that arrived today. However, a purchased CD (either music or voice) does not have this problem. Is there some setting I need to do in Roxio? The "skip" mentioned, is a short duration, and continues multiple times.

If the same CD plays okay on one player, then we can be pretty sure that the disc itself was written okay. But, as was mentioned if that same disc doesn't play properly on another player, then there's an issue between that player and that CD (and possibly going back to the drive that wrote it). The classic, Burner/Media/Player mismatch. The easiest thing to change is the brand of media. Verbatim have typically worked well for most people (me included). Taiyo Yuden / JVC are considered one of the best quality media available, so you could look for some of those and see if that solves your problem.

Let us know how you get on.
