Usb Device Not Showing Up

Question

Hello,

I have a brand new Dell Inspiron laptop, Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit, Core i3, 4GB RAM, 250GB hd. Purchased Roxio VHS to DVD version 1.1.124; 4.50.13a

I have followed instructions for troubleshooting here My link and tried to find the 64bit installer per these instructions here My link

Keep in mind the last of the above links is almost two years old and the file structure within the cd is different from what is listed in the last link.

I am having trouble getting the usb device to show and install.

Programs and Features show the two entries asRoxio Easy VHS to DVD 2.36GB ver 11 and Video Capture USB 12.7MB ver 1.00.000.

Device manager does not sow any roxio vhs to dvd entires. I have tried to follow the instructions that came with the product, but cannot get this installed. I would appreciate any advice in resolving this problem.

Thanks,

Peter

It looks like you purchased the version that is incompatible with Windows 7. Read this

myguggi,

Thanks so much for your quick reply. To bad the big box stores still have this on their shelves. I will advise my customer to return the product, as she was told by an employee that this version would work on her computer.

Thanks again,

Regards,

Peter
