Burning Iso To Dvd

Hi

I am using Roxio Creator 2010 Pro. I have created the iso file with my old version of roxio about a yr ago. I want to burn the iso file to DVD disk.

The iso file is about 5GB. When I go to Burn Disk Image (at Data/Copy tab) and insert blank disk. It shows an error:

'please insert a blank or rewritable disk into DVD drive' I tried with multiple blank disks and still get this error message. Is there a different way to burn iso files? I don't recall having this problem with old version of roxio creator.

Is the ISO file on a disk ? If it is can you copy it to your computer and then try Burning the DVD using Roxio's Creator Classic Program to burn the disk image (DVD) ?

And what "old" version of Roxio program did you burn the original ISO file ??

Is that an ISO for a CD or DL DVD? Yes, there is another way, from the Home page and through Video Copy and Convert (make sure that you have the Copy DVD tab selected. This Copy and Convert method will compress the ISO to fit so this is the best choice.

 

What brand of disc are you trying to burn to?

Steve, I tried copying using Copy and Convert method but after I choose the iso file (from) and insert the disk. The green arrow button doesn't light up and can't click on it. When I go to options -> Burn Setup it shows E:... - 1.05 'Medium not present-Unit not ready. (Insert Disk).

 

Disks I am using either Verbatim dvd-r or Memorex dvd+r

Memorex- ugh. There not even good enough to throw as Frisbee.

 

Sounds more like a hardware problem now. The error code is important because it tells what the problem is. Check to see if there is a firmware update for that burner. Install it being very careful to follow the directions. The error could also mean that the drive is going bad and just doesn't see that the disc is in the drive.

From the Roxio opening screen, click on "Data/Copy"--Then click on "Burn Disc Image" OR--

Go to START--cursor down to your Roxio Program and under "applications" click on "Creator Classic"--then click on "Burn Disc Image"
